Don’t believe the BS that the government, pharmaceutical companies and mainstream medical community put out about how vitamins are ineffective or dangerous. They all profit from your poor health. The government and the FDA have largely been bribed by the pharmaceutical companies and work to protect their profits. Many government FDA employees have very lucrative jobs waiting for them at pharmaceutical companies when they “retire”. This is payback for the help they are given.

Have dessert! Losing weight doesn’t mean you have to deprive yourself of life’s pleasures. Moderation is the key.

Think before you eat. Am I really hungry? If you are overeating out of anxiety, depression, boredom, etc, find ways to confront and heal the underlying conditions that are creating the unnatural urge to eat. Overeating is as much a symptom as a cause.

Don’t eat too much overly refined white bread. Research shows that people who eat white bread are more likely to have bigger bellies. Instead eat more whole grain breads which are healthier.

Go easy on pasta and potatoes. Too much starchy carbohydrate prevents your body from weight loss. Instead of pasta you could try barilla, which is a good substitute high in fiber and protein. Vegetable and whole grain pastas are good alternatives also.

Try having a burger with just lettuce, tomato and onion. Cutting out the cheese saves calories.

Drink lots of water – at least 8 glasses a day. Some people think not drinking water will help them lose weight; nothing could be further from the truth. If you don’t drink water, whatever little water you do drink the body will store and you will gain weight. Drinking more water, especially right before meals, will lessen your appetite so you’ll lose weight and help cleanse your system.

If you go out one night with friends and break your healthy diet, don’t grieve the next morning and start eating junk again. Get right back on track the next day.
